The frequency of the work may depend on the presenting issues
Long-Term Therapy ~ This is often an investment within yourself, the time limit is open-ended and often we will work through some quite difficult and unresolved issues. How far we go and how long we work together can vary from person to person, we will have regular reviews every six months and you can choose to finish the sessions whenever you are ready
Short-Term therapy ~ Working short term we will meet for an initial six sessions and review at the end of the six weeks, during the review we may discuss any new issues that may have been ought up whilst working together and we will then discuss whether to Re-contract, take a break or Re-contract to do further work together.

I would advise taking your time to have a look around at few different directories like Psychology today https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb and Counselling directory https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/
Therapy membership bodies like UKATA https://www.ukata.org/practitioners/all and Local therapy centre websites like the Magnolia Therapy centre https://www.magnoliatherapycentre.com/therapies/psychotherapy-and-counselling/ in Carrington and the Bay Therapy centre https://www.baytherapycentre.com/therapies/counselling-psychotherapy/ in Lady Bay, West Bridgford, can also be a good source of finding a practitioner.
If, the practitioner has a website head over to their website to find out more about how they might work.
Take some time to read through the practitioners bio and take a look at their picture to see if you might get a good vibe from, Once you find the right person, it's time to get in touch and begin the journey.
